This site is about wine and is meant for adults. By joining The Stoa or buying wine you confirm that you are 21 years of age or older. Please enjoy responsibly.
The Stoa
Joining The Stoa is free and is not a purchase. It puts your email address on our list and gives founding members the first 48 hours of ordering when a release opens. Allocations are limited by how much wine there is, so early access is a head start, not a guarantee of a bottle. You may leave at any time with the one-click link in any email.
The Founders’ Pair drawing
Everyone who joins The Stoa at the Hospice of the Valleys evening on September 12, 2026 is entered once in a drawing for the Founders’ Pair: the first bottle of Patientia and the first bottle of Ducks in a Row we release. No purchase is necessary, and buying anything does not improve your chances. You must be 21 or older and a resident of a state to which wine can lawfully be shipped. One entry per person. The winner is drawn at random from the evening’s entries within 30 days of the event, notified at the email address they joined with, and named by first name in an email to The Stoa. If a winner cannot be reached within 14 days or cannot lawfully receive wine, another name is drawn. The prize ships through our licensed winery partner when the wines are released, has no cash value, and cannot be transferred. Void where prohibited. Sponsor: DiBernardo Ventures LLC.
Buying wine
STOIC is produced and bottled by McClain Family Cellars, a licensed California winery, and when STOIC is on sale McClain Family Cellars is the licensed seller of record. Purchases are governed by the terms shown to you at its checkout, together with our Shipping & Returns page. Prices, availability, and vintages may change, and we may correct an error in a listing before an order ships.
Our giving
Statements on this site about gifts to Hospice of the Valleys describe our family’s own commitments. Where an amount is fixed, we state it; where it is not yet fixed, we say so rather than invent a number. These gifts are made by us, are not tax-deductible contributions by you, and are not a condition of any purchase.
What is ours
The STOIC name, the laurel, the labels, the photographs and the words on this site belong to DiBernardo Ventures LLC or are used with permission. You are welcome to share links and to quote us with attribution. Please do not reproduce the labels or the site’s content for commercial use without asking.
The site as it is
We try to keep this site accurate and available, and we make no warranty that it will be either. It is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent the law allows, our liability to you for anything arising from this site is limited to the amount you paid us, which for the site itself is nothing. Nothing here limits rights the law does not let us limit.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts serving Riverside County, California, unless the law says otherwise. If a part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stands.
Changes
We may update these terms; the date at the top will tell you when. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
